- Pack in a color combo. Everything matches that way, and you can wear things more than once in different ways. Also important, pack to match one color of shoes (black or brown).
- Three pairs of shoes. Tennis shoes, sandals or flip flops, and one dressier pair for nights out. Done.
- Pack less than you need. Seriously lay out everything you want to bring and only pack half to two-thirds of it.

That’s really all you need! You’ll be living at the beach and pool, so swimsuits, cover-ups, and a beach bag are essential (don’t forget a towel, sunscreen, and magazines!). For casual evenings shorts and tees are cool and comfy. A few sundresses round out the mix for evenings out.
What do you bring to the beach? Are their any essentials I left off? I’d love to know!

My friends totally showed up to our shore house with Rachel-approved duds when we went a couple of weeks ago; you’d be proud. I definitely followed your color-combo advice, but my colors were mostly black and black, which isn’t so cute for the beach. I need a do-over with all of those shorts!

I always over pack, for just about any trip, beach or otherwise. In my head, I pack one outfit for each day but then wear the same jeans over and over or decide I don’t like the way one shirt looks then it throws all my whole “plan”. Hah! Packing with a color combo in mind is such good advice.
Love those swimsuits and shorts!!
